The Palm Beach Central Broncos will take on the Boca Raton Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Palm Beach Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

Palm Beach Central took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past Forest Hill 7-6. The Broncos haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Tyler Johnson looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gabrian Diaz, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Boca Raton lost 21-7 to Park Vista on Tuesday.

Nicolas Santiago and Jordan Davis did some serious damage despite the final result: Santiago went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and two RBI, while Davis scored a run while going 1-for-3. Romeo Randazzo also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Palm Beach Central pushed their record up to 14-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Boca Raton, their loss dropped their record down to 4-17.

Palm Beach Central couldn't quite finish off Boca Raton when the teams last played back in March of 2023 and fell 3-1. Can the Broncos avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
