In other batting news, Chase Moen and Ben Reese did most of the damage at the plate: Moen scored three runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Reese went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four stolen bases gave Moen a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gavin Rands, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Faith Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Community Christian, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Community Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .436. However, it's not like Faith Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .582.
