Football Game Preview: St. Francis vs. Decatur Community

Decatur Community may have come out ahead in their last match, but they shouldn't get too cocky given who is up next. They will look to defend their home turf on Friday against St. Francis at 7:00 PM. Decatur Community will be looking to avenge the 8-54 loss they took the last time these two teams played.

After having lost a blowout to Dighton in their previous matchup, Decatur Community were happy to find some success last Friday. Decatur Community took their contest against Wallace County 24-12. Sophomore Gavon Uehlin, who rushed for 78 yards and 1 touchdown, was a major factor in Decatur Community's success. In fact, with 10 tackles Uehlin was a force on both sides of the ball.

Meanwhile, St. Francis were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They blew past Dighton 54-20. Followers of St. Francis probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected three blowout victories.

Their wins bumped St. Francis to 3-0 and Decatur Community to 2-1. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when St. Francis and Decatur Community clash.
