Volleyball Recap: Phoenix Military Comes Up Short

Phoenix Military was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Steinmetz College Prep Silver Streaks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Firebirds of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Phoenix Military's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Steinmetz College Prep, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Phoenix Military is set to challenge their familiar foe Mather at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Steinmetz College Prep will face off against rival Westinghouse at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
