Basketball Recap: Casey-Westfield Drops Highest Score of Season Against Tri-City

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Casey-Westfield). They took their contest on Saturday with ease, bagging a 73-26 win over the Tri-City Tornadoes. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 171st, while the Tornadoes are ranked 524th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Hayden Parcel, who to rack up 11 points and seven boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jackson High, who on his way to 13 points.

When it comes to explaining why Tri-City lost, don't look at Hill Muir. Despite the final result, he posted six points.

Casey-Westfield is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. Tri-City is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-17.

Casey-Westfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 65-37 victory against Newton on the 18th. As for Tri-City, they have also already played their next contest, a 56-45 defeat against Nokomis on the 18th.
