Softball Game Preview: Capitan Tigers vs. Rehoboth Christian Lynx

The Capitan Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Rehoboth Christian Lynx at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. Capitan will be strutting in after a win while Rehoboth Christian will be coming in after a loss.

Capitan is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They blew past Lordsburg 14-7. Considering the Tigers have won nine contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Rehoboth Christian lost 15-4 to Estancia on Wednesday.

Shanoah Eddie made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.

Rehoboth Christian has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-10 record this season. As for Capitan, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season.

Capitan took their victory against Rehoboth Christian in their previous meeting back in April of 2015 by a conclusive 11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
