Baseball Recap: South Side Takes a Loss

South Side was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Chargers. If the Rams were looking for revenge after losing 10-3 to the Chargers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

South Side saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rj Fisher, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. The Rams are 4-1 when Fisher posts two or more runs, but 2-4 otherwise.

South Side's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

While South Side had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
