There's no place like home for Bigfork, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They really took it to the Libby Loggers for the full four quarters, racking up a 46-9 win. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings & Valkyries in their matchups with the Loggers: they've now won five in a row.

Cole Schmit looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 161 yards and three TDs, while also punching in one rushing score. That's the most passing touchdowns he has posted since back in October of 2024. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Ryeln Rodriguez, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Bigfork didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Libby to a completion percentage of just 44%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from three players: Austin Savik, Rodriguez, and Holland Jantzen, who each logged one passes deflected. Bigfork wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 66.7%.

Bigfork didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tayden West and Oliver Buzzell.

Bigfork now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Libby, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bigfork will venture away from home to take on Polson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings & Valkyries are facing the Pirates at the right time seeing as the Pirates are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Libby, they will head out to square off against Ronan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Loggers will be up against the Chiefs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 49.17 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
