Basketball Game Preview: Fleming Colonels vs. George Washington Eagles

The Fleming Colonels will face off against the George Washington Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Last Tuesday, Fleming came up short against Albemarle and fell 65-53. The loss was the Colonels' first of the season.

Meanwhile, George Washington put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Mecklenburg County with points to spare, taking the game 72-56. The Eagles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

George Washington's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Fleming, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-1.

Fleming didn't have too much breathing room in their match against George Washington in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, but they still walked away with a 61-57 victory.
