Montesano is 9-1 against Aberdeen since January of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Montesano Bulldogs will face off against the Aberdeen Bobcats at 5:30 p.m. Montesano will be strutting in after a win while Aberdeen will be coming in after a loss.

Montesano is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Tenino 62-22 on Thursday. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Beavers are ranked 307th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 68-16, which was the final score in Aberdeen's tilt against Rainier on Thursday.

Aberdeen has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Montesano, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Montesano took their win against Aberdeen in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 42-21. The rematch might be a little tougher for Montesano since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
