Walled Lake Central is 8-2 against South Lyon East since May of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Vikings will look to defend their home field against the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Saturday, Walled Lake Central narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Churchill 4-3. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Chargers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, South Lyon East waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They didn't even let the Corsairs on the board, marking their second-straight 15-0 shutout. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.

South Lyon East's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Walled Lake Central, they now have a winning record of 9-8-1.

Walled Lake Central came out on top in a nail-biter against South Lyon East in their previous matchup back in April, sneaking past 7-5. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
