Soccer Game Preview: Abington Heights vs. North Pocono

The Abington Heights Comets are taking a road trip to square off against the North Pocono Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Thursday, Abington Heights made easy work of Wallenpaupack Area and carried off a 6-1 win. Abington Heights haven't had any issues with Wallenpaupack Area recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Pocono). They blew past Honesdale 9-1 on Thursday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded North Pocono with their most commanding win of the season.

Abington Heights' win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for North Pocono, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 11-1.

Abington Heights skirted past North Pocono 1-0 in their previous matchup on September 4th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
