Baseball Recap: Edgewood Warriors vs. Lakeside Dragons

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Edgewood and Lakeside have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Monday. The Warriors won by a run and slipped past the Dragons 4-3. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 14-12 victory the Dragons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Alex Sperduto was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.
