Basketball Game Preview: Argyle Eagles vs. Westlake Chaparrals

Having just played yesterday, the Argyle Eagles will jump right back in to play the Westlake Chaparrals at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Argyle sitting on four straight wins and Westlake on 15.

Argyle picked up another tournament win on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 69-21 victory over Chaparral. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Westlake won against Liberty Hill on Thursday with 41 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Chaparrals strolled past CHSA HomeSchool with points to spare, taking the game 41-23.

Westlake's win bumped their record up to 15-0. As for Argyle, their victory bumped their record up to 14-1.

Argyle was able to grind out a solid win over Westlake in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 42-30. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Chaparrals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
