Baseball Recap: Red Bluff's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Red Bluff and Shasta had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Red Bluff fell 9-6 to Shasta on Wednesday. Spartans fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Wolves since on Wednesday.

Red Bluff saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Owens, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Owens has posted since back in April of 2024. Jett Bonham also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.

Red Bluff's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-3. As for Shasta, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Shasta beat Red Bluff by a score of 10-2 on Friday.
