Softball Preview: Broken Bow Savages vs. Pocola Indians        
        
		
             Broken Bow has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will head out to  square off against the Pocola Indians  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
 Broken Bow will head into Tuesday's  match hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big  last Saturday (they won by nine) but  on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Poteau  a   2-0 shutout. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Savages have posted  since September 5th.
 Meanwhile, Pocola put another one in the bag  on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Moore , sneaking past  3-1.
  Allyssa Parker spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered one  run (which was  unearned)  on zero hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate, Pocola's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Kyleigh Combs, who  went 2-for-3 with  an  RBI.
 Pocola  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  struck out at most five  strikeouts in seven consecutive  contests.
 Broken Bow's victory bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Pocola, their win was  their 13th straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 28-0.
 Broken Bow came out on top in a nail-biter against Pocola when the teams last played  back in August of 2018, sneaking past  4-3. Will Broken Bow repeat their success,  or does  Pocola have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
