Volleyball Recap: TEACH Homeschool's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

TEACH Homeschool waltzed into their match on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Oaktree Academy Grizzlies. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Beach Breakers have posted against the Grizzlies since September 22, 2016.

TEACH Homeschool had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 14-25, 23-25, 25-18, 25-22, 15-11.

Rylee Kenyon paced TEACH Homeschool's offense, picking up eight kills. Kenyon got some help from Paityn Barnes and her 13 assists. Kenyon was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

TEACH Homeschool now has a winning record of 10-9-1. As for Oaktree Academy, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. TEACH Homeschool will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Bethel Christian at 7:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for Oaktree Academy, they will welcome Spirit HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
