After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Brock, Glen Rose was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Stephenville Yellow Jackets/Honeybees 4-3. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Yellow Jackets/Honeybees on April 1st, they had to take a 6-5 defeat.

Marki Sandlin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits.

At the plate, Glen Rose's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Libby Turner, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run. That's the most hits Turner has posted since back in April of 2024.

Glen Rose's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 14-13. As for Stephenville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-13-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Glen Rose nor Stephenville have any future games scheduled.
