Baseball Recap: Sparrows Point Takes a Loss

Sparrows Point and Eastern Tech squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Sparrows Point had to settle for second. They lost 11-3 to the Mavericks. The Pointers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Sparrows Point's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Eastern Tech, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Sparrows Point does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eastern Tech, they will challenge Fallston on Saturday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Mavericks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
