Basketball Recap: John Marshall Skates Past Winona with Ease

There's no place like home for John Marshall, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They claimed a resounding 56-29 win over the Winona Winhawks. Given the Rockets' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 131st, while the Winhawks are ranked 349th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

John Marshall now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Winona, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-17.

John Marshall is taking a road trip to challenge Mankato East at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Winona, they will take on Albert Lea at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Winona is facing Albert Lea at the right time seeing as Albert Lea is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
