Coalinga had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took down the Monache Marauders 30-15 on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the Horned Toads as they're now sitting on six straight.

Coalinga got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyson Alvarado out in front who rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. Alvarado's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 107 rushing yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracin Redding, who rushed for 75 yards and one TD.

Coalinga's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB 11 times. Kameron Morgan and Evan Garcia were the leaders of the group effort as each produced three apiece.

Coalinga's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Monache, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.

Coalinga will venture away from home to square off against Templeton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Horned Toads' defense better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 30.7 points per game this season. Monache does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
