Weaver had lost four games at home dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 2-5 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They skirted past the Locust Fork Hornets 36-34. The Bearcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

As for Locust Fork, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. They gained 264 more yards on the day, but it was Weaver that made the best use of them.

Despite the loss, Locust Fork still got an impressive performance from Nicholas Horn, who rushed for 164 yards while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and also threw for 122 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Coming up, Weaver will take on Piedmont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bearcats will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 31 points in their last six games. As for Locust Fork, they will face off against Wellborn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
