Soccer Game Preview: Riverview Sarasota vs. North Fort Myers

The Riverview Sarasota Rams will head out to square off against the North Fort Myers Red Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Riverview Sarasota sitting on three straight wins and North Fort Myers on ten.

Riverview Sarasota's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They skirted past Lemon Bay 1-0. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Manta Rays are ranked 99th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Riverview Sarasota's one-goal win came courtesy of Rachel Paule, who's now up to nine this season.

Meanwhile, North Fort Myers got the win against Riverdale on Tuesday by a conclusive 7-2. The result was nothing new for the Red Knights, who have now won 12 games by three goals or more so far this season.

North Fort Myers pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 39 goals over those five matchups. As for Riverview Sarasota, their win bumped their record up to 10-2-1.
