Baseball Recap: J.P. McCaskey Red Tornado vs. Hempfield Black Knights
J.P. McCaskey had lost 11 straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 2-18 to make it 12. They lost 11-0 to the Hempfield Black Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Black Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-6 back in April.
As for Hempfield, the win keeps they at an undefeated 18-0. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matches by six runs or more this season.
For Hempfield's part, they let Joshua Toole and Camden Hulock run wild. Toole went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Hulock went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Hulock a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Xavier Felix, who went 1-for-2 with four RBI and one double.
As of now, neither J.P. McCaskey nor Hempfield have any future games scheduled.
