Basketball Recap: Aggieland Homeschool Now 12-2 over Last 14 Games

Aggieland HomeSchool lost to Franklin back in December of 2019, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Aggieland HomeSchool Panthers came out on top against the Franklin Lions by a score of 62-50. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 343rd, while the Lions are ranked 726th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Aggieland HomeSchool had a senior duo take command as Van Call went 8 of 15 en route to 22 points and five rebounds and Ethan Cox went 6 of 12 on his way to 17 points along with eight boards and six assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Call has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Krajca, who posted four points and 13 rebounds.

Aggieland HomeSchool is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for Franklin, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Aggieland HomeSchool will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bremond at 6:00 p.m. on January 17, 2025. As for Franklin, they will host C.H. Yoe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Franklin is facing C.H. Yoe at the right time seeing as C.H. Yoe is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
