Football Game Preview: Trinidad vs. Crowley County

On Saturday Trinidad take on Crowley County at 1:00 PM. Trinidad are limping into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Last Saturday, Trinidad lost to John Mall by a decisive 12-28 margin. Trinidad got a solid performance out of junior Matt Martinez, who rushed for 181 yards and 1 touchdown; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the victory. Martinez has been a consistent playmaker for Trinidad as this was the 5th good game in a row from him.

Meanwhile, Crowley County put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season. They took their match against Rocky Ford by a conclusive 42-8 score. The success made it back-to-back wins for Crowley County.

Crowley County's win lifted them to 4-1 while Trinidad's loss dropped them down to 0-5. In their win, Crowley County relied heavily on sophomore Adam Schulz, who threw 4 TDs and picked up 89 yards on the ground. Trinidad will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
