Softball Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

Lincoln fell victim to Alexandria and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 10-0 to the Valley Cubs. If the Golden Bears were looking for revenge after losing 17-1 to the Valley Cubs when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

This is the second loss in a row for Lincoln and nudges their season record down to 23-15-1. As for Alexandria, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 30-8-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln will take on Sardis in a tournament on Friday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Golden Bears' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Alexandria, they will be taking part in a tournament against Tuscaloosa County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
