Josiah Allen Delivers Best Effort of Season
Josiah Allen produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Wheeler to the win on Friday. Allen rushed for 256 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry, and also picked up 31 receiving yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 68 yards.
Cherokee's probably not too fond of Allen given he always seems to get the better of them. When Allen last faced the Warriors back in October of 2023, he rushed for 192 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per carry, and also picked up 58 receiving yards.

James Skelly Delivers Electric Performance Vs Etowah
James Skelly continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his third-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least two rushing touchdowns. He rushed for 173 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. North Paulding is 3-1 when Skelly posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.
North Paulding now has a winning record of 4-3. Skelly and North Paulding will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Wheeler at 7:30 p.m. on October 18th.

Tanner Savasir Dazzles in Cherokee Defeat
Cherokee was sadly handed a loss on Friday, but Tanner Savasir did his best to prevent it. Savasir was dynamite, throwing for 290 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 57 yards on only six carries.
Cherokee and Walton are set to duel on Friday. The Warriors had to take a loss when they last met the Raiders, but Savasir had little to do with the loss: he rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and also threw for 156 yards on 13 of 22 attempts. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

Kobe L Mcinnis Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Friday, Wheeler got the W thanks in part to Kobe L Mcinnis playing the best football he has all season. L Mcinnis picked up two sacks and made nine total tackles (4.0 for loss).
On the season, L Mcinnis has averaged 5.6 total tackles per game and for the season has 5 sacks. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had two sacks.
