Soccer Game Preview: Douglas County vs. Mt. Zion

The Douglas County Tigers will square off against the Mt. Zion Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Douglas County's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Douglas County fell victim to Druid Hills and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 7-0 to the Red Devils. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Red Devils are ranked 95th).

Meanwhile, Mt. Zion managed to keep up with Coosa until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Mt. Zion came up short against Coosa, falling 5-0. Mt. Zion has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Douglas County now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Mt. Zion, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
