Volleyball Recap: Western Alamance Wins Going Away Against South Brunswick

It's playoff time, and Western Alamance had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the South Brunswick Cougars on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 win.

While Western Alamance won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-21, 25-22.

Reese Walker paced Western Alamance's offense, picking up 19 kills. Walker got some help from Riley Walker and her 28 assists. Reese also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Sydney Wilson, each putting up four.

Western Alamance is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for South Brunswick, they moved to 16-6 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Western Alamance has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Cedar Ridge on the 23rd. South Brunswick does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
