DeSoto Central won the last time they faced Southaven and Cade Rodgers did his part to make sure it happened again. The Jaguars came out on top against the Chargers by a score of 28-21 on Friday with plenty of help from Rodgers, who rushed for 288 yards and three touchdowns. DeSoto Central is undefeated when Rodgers posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise.

DeSoto Central is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.0 points over those games. As for Southaven, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. DeSoto Central is set to face off against their familiar foe Hernando at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 924 yards in their previous games. Meanwhile, Southaven will square off against rival Horn Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
