Basketball Recap: Enloe Takes a Loss

Enloe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They were outmatched by the Leesville Road Pride and fell 63-12. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 528th, while the Pride are ranked 114th).

Finley Lewis was a one-woman wrecking crew for Leesville Road as she dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 boards. That's the most points Lewis has posted since back in February of 2024. Kaylen Blades also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Enloe's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Leesville Road, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4.

Enloe and Athens Drive will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. Enloe is facing Athens Drive at the right time seeing as Athens Drive is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Leesville Road, they will head out on the road to take on Broughton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Leesville Road is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.7 points per game this season.
