The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. This Friday West Florida takes on Rickards in the first playoff game of the year. West Florida is skipping in on a eight-game winning streak; likewise, Rickards rolls in with nine consecutive wins.

Even if it wasn't a dominant performance, West Florida beat Wakulla 21 - 14 last week.

As for Rickards, it put the hurt on Bay last week with a conclusive 42 - 7 victory. Junior quarterback Marcus Riley had a nice 125-yard performance that was surely well-received by fans. This was the 3rd game in a row in which Riley had 100 or more yards receiving.

Their wins bumped West Florida to 9-2 and Rickards to 9-1. We'll find out on Friday which team can carry over its success and which team inevitably falls when West Florida and Rickards clash.
