Normal West posted their closest victory since November 7, 2024 on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Bradley-Bourbonnais Boilermakers. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Boilermakers: they've now won four in a row.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Normal West who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-27, 25-19.

The win got Normal West back to even at 8-8. As for Bradley-Bourbonnais, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.

Coming up, Normal West will venture away from home to challenge Danville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bradley-Bourbonnais, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Herscher on the 20th.
