Sequoia Pathway Academy extends road losing streak to four

This season hasn't been kind to the Sequoia Pathway Academy Pumas, who are still winless after their tenth contest. They were dealt a 62-17 defeat at the hands of Crismon on Wednesday. Sequoia Pathway Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-9.

Crismon found their leader in underclassman Micah Joynes, who scored 23 points along with three steals. Joynes continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Tobey White was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five assists.

Sequoia Pathway Academy's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-10. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 12.5 points per game. As for Crismon, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sequoia Pathway Academy will take on Tempe Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tempe Prep has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 7. As for Crismon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against San Tan Foothills at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. San Tan Foothills is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
