Softball Recap: Mid-Pacific Institute Comes Up Short

Mid-Pacific Institute was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 14-7 to the Punahou Buff n' Blue. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Buff n' Blue this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-1 two weeks ago.

Mid-Pacific Institute's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Punahou, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, Mid-Pacific Institute will challenge Kamehameha Kapalama at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mid-Pacific Institute has given up an average of 13.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Punahou, they will face off against Maryknoll at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
