Volleyball Recap: Carleigh Rymer and Autumn Drennan Secure Win for Lyle/Pacelli

Lyle/Pacelli hadn't done well against Hayfield recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Athletics had just enough and edged out the Vikings 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Athletics have posted since August 23rd.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Lyle/Pacelli got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 22-25, 15-10.

Leading Lyle/Pacelli to victory were Autumn Drennan and Carleigh Rymer. Drennan had 16 assists and eight digs, while Rymer had nine digs and three assists. That's the most digs Rymer has posted over her last seven games.

The win made it two in a row for Lyle/Pacelli and bumps their season record up to 8-5. As for Hayfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Lyle/Pacelli didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Alden-Conger on the 6th. Hayfield has also already played their next match (against LeRoy-Ostrander), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
