Baseball Recap: La Salle Comes Up Short

If La Salle was feeling good fresh off their 9-1 takedown of Colerain on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lancers fell 3-0 to the Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy Eagles on Friday. The Lancers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

La Salle got a good showing from James Fightmaster, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest earned runs Fightmaster has allowed since back in April.

La Salle's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

La Salle will host Hughes at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, they are taking a road trip to take on Monroe at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. The Eagles are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
