Baseball Recap: Beaver Local Comes Up Short

Beaver Local was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 10-2 to the Harrison Central Huskies. The Beavers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Huskies apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Beaver Local saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paxton Grimes, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Beaver Local's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Harrison Central, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Beaver Local will head out on the road to take on Struthers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Harrison Central will be paying especially close attention to the Beavers' game: after the Beavers faces off against the Wildcats, they'll take on Harrison Central again at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
