Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Colfax). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Spring Valley Cardinals a 28-0 shutout on Thursday. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Colfax now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Spring Valley, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Colfax wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 13-6 defeat against Stanley-Boyd on the 11th. As for Spring Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Glenwood City at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
