Volleyball Recap: Civic Leadership Comes Up Short

The Civic Leadership Eagles lost 3-0 to the Woodstock Academy Centaurs on Friday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Civic Leadership was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Woodstock Academy's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22, 25-23.

Woodstock Academy found their leader in sophomore Jake Henderson, who had 23 assists and one block. Henderson has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more assists the last three times he's played.

Civic Leadership's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Woodstock Academy, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Civic Leadership will head out to challenge Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Woodstock Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Norwich RVT at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
