Basketball Recap: Saint Andrew's Gets the Win

Saint Andrew came into Wednesday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They slipped by the Palm Beach Lakes Rams 39-38 on Wednesday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Saint Andrew's to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gabby Fulton, who went 6-for-14 on her way to 14 points and five rebounds. Fulton has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Hannah Merzius also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Palm Beach Lakes lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Euterria Davis, who shot 63% from the field to rack up 12 points. Lyriq Johnson was another key player, putting up seven points and seven boards.

Saint Andrew's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Palm Beach Lakes, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-6 record this season.

Saint Andrew's has already played their next matchup, a 71-15 victory against Florida Atlantic University on the 4th. As for Palm Beach Lakes, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 48-37 loss against Jupiter on the 31st.
