Baseball Recap: Riverbank Comes Up Short

Riverbank was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Calaveras Red Hawks, falling 9-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 last Tuesday.

Riverbank's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Calaveras, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-11.

Looking ahead, Riverbank will square off against Linden at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Linden will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Riverbank surely won't give up without a fight. As for Calaveras, they will take on Big Valley Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Big Valley Christian has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.64 runs per game on average), something Calaveras will no doubt try to take advantage of.
