Soccer Recap: Independence Starts Season with Draw on the Road

Independence was not able to secure the win in their season-opener on Thursday. They and the Smithville Smithies finished up their match with a 0-0 draw.

With that draw, Smithville's record moves to 0-2-1.

Independence wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 4-2 defeat against Vermilion on the 23rd. As for Smithville, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-1 victory against Rittman on the 26th.
