Baseball Game Preview: Trinity Valley Trojans vs. South Hills Scorpions

The Trinity Valley Trojans will take on the South Hills Scorpions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Trinity Valley is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against DasCHE last Wednesday as Trinity Valley made off with a 13-3 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Trojans as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Trinity Valley got a massive performance out of Jayden Lopez, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two triples, three runs, and four RBI. Those RBI marked the first that Lopez brought in this season. Hub Nickels was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Trinity Valley hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as DasCHE struck out eight times.

Meanwhile, South Hills made easy work of Polytechnic on Wednesday and carried off a 15-3 victory. The contest marked the Scorpions' most dominant win of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for South Hills and bumps their season record up to 6-9-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Trinity Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 2-7.
