Basketball Recap: Summit Academy North Takes a Loss

If Summit Academy North was feeling good fresh off their 71-42 takedown of Henry Ford Academy last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Summit Academy North fell just short of the University Prep Panthers by a score of 46-44 on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for Summit Academy North in their matchups with University Prep: they've now lost three in a row.

Summit Academy North's loss dropped their record down to 15-4. As for University Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Summit Academy North will take on Hamady at 7:00 p.m. on February 20th. University Prep will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mercy at 6:00 p.m. on February 27th.
