Basketball Game Preview: Federal Hocking Lancers vs. South Webster Jeeps

The Federal Hocking Lancers are taking a road trip to take on the South Webster Jeeps at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Federal Hocking, yet to win a game, are hoping to taste some of the success that has characterized South Webster's (thus far) undefeated season.

Federal Hocking is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. The game between them and Eastern didn't end well, with Federal Hocking falling 68-53.

Meanwhile, South Webster had just enough and edged Oak Hill out 47-44 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Jeeps have posted against the Oaks since February 15, 2020.

Federal Hocking better keep an eye on Dylan Shupert. He was instrumental in South Webster's win, going 7 of 16 en route to 23 points and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian White, who posted four points along with five assists and four steals.

South Webster pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Federal Hocking, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Federal Hocking ended up a good deal behind South Webster in their previous matchup back in January, losing 63-47. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of South Webster's Eli Roberts, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and ten rebounds.
