Baseball Game Preview: Gonzales Apaches vs. Rockport-Fulton Pirates

Gonzales hasn't had much luck against Rockport-Fulton recently, but that could start to change on Monday. Gonzales will face off against Rockport-Fulton at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Gonzales is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They lost 27-4 to Canyon Lake.

Gonzales saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Antonio Gallardo, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. That run marked the first that Gallardo scored this season. Nathan Castillo was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Rockport-Fulton fell victim to Jones and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Trojans, falling 10-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Pirates were not able to get on the board.

Rockport-Fulton's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-6-1. As for Gonzales, their loss dropped their record down to 0-14-1.
