Basketball Game Preview: Valley Vikings vs. Murtaugh Red Devils

The Valley Vikings will square off against the Murtaugh Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Valley will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

On Wednesday, Valley was fully in charge, breezing past Lighthouse Christian 68-12. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Murtaugh was just a bucket shy of victory on Wednesday and fell 56-55 to Raft River. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Murtaugh's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Valley, their win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0.

Valley strolled past Murtaugh when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a score of 67-48. The rematch might be a little tougher for Valley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
