Basketball Recap: Blount Skates Past Baker with Ease

Blount won the last time they faced Baker and things went their way on Thursday too. The Blount Leopards simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Baker Hornets 59-25. Given the Leopards' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Hornets are ranked 268th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Blount is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.3 points per game. As for Baker, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-10.

Blount won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Vigor at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Baker, they will face off against UMS-Wright Prep at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
